CURRENTLY SOLD OUT BUT CAN BE MADE FOR YOU AT ANY TIME. PLEASE ALLOW APPROXIMATELY 3-4 WEEKS FOR HAND KNITTING. THANK YOU!

Soft, lightweight and incredibly warm, this scarf is a one of a kind piece, combining delicate lace stitches and small cables.

Its most outstanding feature is the yarn called qiviut which in Eskimo language denominates the underdown of the Muskox. They are rare and elusive animals, hence the limited availability of this yarn and the rather elevated price. It is a silky grey-brown fiber which is said to be eight times warmer than wool by weight and softer and finer and lighter than cashmere. The fibre is almost free of grease or animal oils and therefore non-irritating and not itchy. It can be worn directly against skin.

The scarf shown in the photo is knit in natural/undyed colour. Please see the last photo for available colours in pure qiviut.
