Mink is the king of furs – as readily observed in former European courts.

Nowadays, minks are commercially farmed and the production of mink yarn is similar to wool. As yarn, mink is relatively new to the fashion world. Mink hairs are rather short but very thick and soft. They are spun into beautiful and delicate yarns. The natural colour of a mink is dark brown but commercial farming selectively bred much paler tones as mahogany, pastel, sapphire and white.

The fiber is delicate, soft, lightweight and very warm.
